Our Jungle Adventures

Whether you’re looking for a complete all-inclusive package or a dedicated jungle trek, you’ll find the perfect adventure here. Every experience is led by certified, local, english-speaking guides and designed around ethical wildlife encounters, small groups, and unforgettable moments in the Sumatran rainforest.

Packing List

Bring a comfortable backpack of around 30L. A waterproof dry bag for your belongings during the river tubing is included on all treks.

Bring a reusable water bottle with a capacity of at least 1.5 litres per person. For overnight treks, boiled drinking water is provided at each campsite.

Protect yourself from insects and the tropical sun by bringing both mosquito repellent and sunscreen.

Lightweight, quick-drying clothing is ideal for trekking. We also recommend long trousers or long socks to help protect against insects, especially leeches.

Bring basic first aid supplies such as plasters, disinfectant, pain relief, anti-diarrhoea medication, antihistamines for insect bites, rehydration salts, and any personal medication you may need.

Don’t forget your camera or phone to capture unforgettable moments. We also recommend bringing a fully charged power bank, as there is no electricity in the jungle.

Wear sturdy, comfortable walking shoes with good grip and a thicker sole for the sometimes muddy and uneven jungle trails.

Pack a swimsuit and a quick-drying towel for refreshing swims at the riverside camps and for the tubing ride back to Bukit Lawang.

A flashlight or headlamp is essential for overnight treks, as the camps have no electricity after dark.

Bring your personal toiletries, including a toothbrush, toothpaste, soap, and toilet paper.

Pack a clean change of clothes and a light long-sleeved top with comfortable trousers. Evenings and nights in the rainforest can feel surprisingly cool, depending on the season.

Rain can arrive unexpectedly in the rainforest. A lightweight rain jacket or poncho will help keep you comfortable throughout the trek.

Useful for river crossings and for relaxing around camp after a day of trekking.

Camp Sites

All of our campsites are located by the river, and camping equipment including a mattress, pillow, and blanket is provided.

Tips for Trekking

Your guide knows the rainforest better than anyone. Always follow their instructions to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for both you and the wildlife.

Keep a safe distance from all animals, especially orangutans, and never attempt to touch or feed them. We are visitors in their home, and every encounter should happen on nature’s terms.

The rainforest is hot and humid, so drink water regularly throughout the trek. Staying hydrated will help you enjoy the experience and keep your energy levels up.

Choose lightweight, breathable clothing that dries quickly. Long trousers or long socks are recommended to help protect against leeches. Rain showers can appear at any time in the rainforest. A lightweight rain jacket or poncho will help keep you comfortable during the trek.

There is no need to rush. Your guides will adjust the pace to you, making sure everyone enjoys the trek comfortably.

Bring only the essentials in a comfortable backpack. A lighter pack makes the trek much more enjoyable, especially on steeper sections.

Everything you bring into the jungle should come back with you. Together, we help protect the rainforest for future generations.

Wildlife encounters are never guaranteed, but every step through the rainforest is an experience in itself. Embrace the adventure, enjoy the journey, and let nature surprise you.
