This 4-day all-inclusive package is designed to make your journey as smooth and enjoyable as possible. From the moment you arrive at Medan Airport until you leave Bukit Lawang, we take care of everything, including transportation, accommodation, and a guided 2-day, 1-night jungle trek.

During your trek, you’ll have the chance to spot orangutans and other incredible wildlife while exploring the rainforest with our local guides. Spend a night at a riverside jungle camp, enjoy freshly prepared meals, and take a refreshing swim in the river before falling asleep to the sounds of the jungle.

Tour Itinerary

Day 1

Upon arrival at Medan Airport, or from your accommodation in Medan, you will be warmly welcomed by our team and begin your journey towards Bukit Lawang. The drive takes approximately 3–4 hours through changing landscapes of palm plantations, small villages, and lush green hills, giving you your first glimpse of North Sumatra.

Once in Bukit Lawang, you will check in to your accommodation and meet your local certified guide for a full briefing about the upcoming jungle trek. Depending on your arrival time, you may also have the opportunity to swim in the river, explore the village, or enjoy the relaxed atmosphere with locals along the riverside.

Day 2

Your jungle adventure begins early at around 8:00 AM as you set off directly from your accommodation into Gunung Leuser National Park. Our experienced guides carefully choose routes away from crowds, giving you a more authentic experience of the rainforest and its untouched surroundings.

During the trek, you will search for wildlife such as orangutans and other jungle animals while learning about the ecosystem from your guide. Enjoy a freshly prepared lunch and tropical fruits in the middle of the jungle, and take in breathtaking viewpoints over the rainforest before arriving at your riverside campsite around 3–4 PM.

In the evening, you can cool off with a swim in the river next to the camp before enjoying a freshly cooked dinner under the stars. After dinner, relax with your guides, listen to their jungle stories, and enjoy the peaceful sounds of the rainforest. Maybe even a card game or a small magic trick before bedtime.

Day 3

After breakfast at the campsite, the trek continues at around 8:00 AM as you slowly make your way deeper through the rainforest. This final section of jungle trekking gives you another chance to spot wildlife and enjoy the peaceful atmosphere of the forest in the early morning light.

After approximately 4–5 hours of trekking, you will reach the Bohorok River and eat a local lunch before the “jungle taxi” awaits for you. A fun and refreshing river rafting experience that brings you back to Bukit Lawang. You will arrive at your accommodation around 2–3 PM, where the rest of the day is yours to swim in the river, explore the village at your own pace or just relax and take in all the fantastic impressions from the last days.

Day 4

After breakfast, we will arrange your transfer back to Medan Airport or your accommodation in Medan. Please note that the latest recommended departure time is 2:00 PM to ensure a smooth journey.
