Tour Itinerary
Day 1
Upon arrival at Medan Airport, our team will warmly welcome you and transfer you to Bukit Lawang. The journey takes approximately 3–4 hours and passes through plantations, small villages, and beautiful North Sumatran landscapes, giving you an introduction to life outside the city.
Once you arrive, you will check in to your included accommodation by the river. Depending on your arrival time, you can relax and enjoy a swim in the Bohorok River, have a nice dinner, or simply unwind and take in the peaceful jungle atmosphere of Bukit Lawang.
Day 2
After breakfast, your guided jungle trek begins around 8:00–9:00 AM, adjusted to your preferences. The orangutans are most active in the morning. Your local guide will choose easier, family-friendly trails with flatter terrain, ensuring a comfortable and enjoyable experience for children.
During the trek, you will explore the rainforest together as a family, searching for orangutans and other wildlife while learning about the jungle in an engaging way. A freshly prepared lunch is served in the jungle before you head back in the afternoon. The return journey to Bukit Lawang is made via the famous “jungle taxi”, tubing down the Bohorok River, a fun and unforgettable experience for both kids and adults.
Once back in the village, you will have free time to explore Bukit Lawang, enjoy a fresh juice at a riverside café, swim in the river, or simply relax after your jungle adventure.
Day 3
Today you will discover the local life of Bukit Lawang in a fun and interactive way. You will travel by traditional Becak (motorbike with sidecar), making the experience exciting and comfortable for children while exploring the surrounding village area.
During the tour, you will visit local family businesses and learn how traditional products are made, such as tempeh, tofu, and palm sugar. You will also take part in a simple cooking class, giving the whole family a hands-on cultural experience that is both educational and enjoyable.
Day 4
After breakfast, we will arrange your transfer back to Medan Airport. The journey takes approximately 3–4 hours. Please note that the latest recommended departure time is 2:00 PM to ensure a smooth journey.
