Tour Itinerary
Day 1: Our professional driver will pick you up at the Kualanamo Airport or hotel around Medan. It takes about 4 hours by car to Bukit Lawang. Your hotel is comfortable and eco-friendly with a clean restaurant and healthy food. At 7 PM after dinner, our local guide will greet you at the restaurant and give you all the information about jungle trekking.
Day 2: Jungle trekking will start from the hotel at 07:30 after breakfast. We will walk to observe the wildlife in the Leuser National Park. The terrain of the National Park is hilly makes the trekking challenging.
Orangutans are arboreal animals; they spend a lot of time in trees. They search for fruit in the forest trees, and fruit is their main food besides leaves and termites. Our local guide will take you on an adventure; you will be led to find fruit-bearing trees in the jungle to spot orangutans. This is a world you have never seen before, except maybe in movies. Giant trees, towering roots, and the sounds of animals in the silence. Besides orangutans, you might also see monkeys, hornbills and peacocks, or gibbons.
We will also take you to our favorite spot in the heart of the jungle to relax and enjoy lunch, making coffee or tea.
We will arrive at the camping site in the afternoon around 4 PM, depending on the weather and physical condition.
The camping site is still located in the middle of the jungle, we provide comfortable and safe tents, including sleeping mats, blankets, and mosquito nets, We also cooked dinner and breakfast at the campsite.
Day 3: Back to hotel with traditional rafting. The traditional rafting back to the hotel takes 30 minutes; we will arrive at the hotel at 1 or 2 PM.
Starting from 5 PM, we will give you a traditional massage for stretching after trekking activities, this will take about an hour
Day 4: At 8 a.m., after breakfast, drive from hotel in Bukit Lawang to Batu Katak, about 45 minutes. We will explore the water cave for about two hours, and we will see the beauty of the cave and thousands of bats. After one-day water experience at Batu Katak, in the afternoon around 3 PM, return to the hotel in Bukit Lawang and stay one more night
