tour description

DAY 1

We will pick you up at the Kualanamu airport or hotel in Medan, it takes 4 hours by our conditioning car to reach Bukit Lawang(Our driver is licensed and experienced.). After check in at the hotel, at 8 o’clock after dinner there will be an introduction session with the local guide and the trekking plan, preparation is very important

day 2

Jungle trekking starts at 8 after breakfast, we will move to the national park gate in about 30 minutes from hotel passing through local community plantations

Imagine encountering orangutans as they swing on lianas; the orange color of the orangutans among the green leaves will mesmerize you, possibly also encounters with several types of monkeys such as macaques, langurs or gibbons, and birds like hornbills and peacocks(Remember, this is wild life, it’s not always easy to find them)

We will have lunch in the jungle, it’s very unique, we call it the “jungle restaurant”, lunch under the forest canopy and giant trees with the sounds of animals, There are also tropical fruits as a dessert(maybe there are some fruits you have never seen before)

We will return to the hotel with traditional rafting, around 2 or 3 in the afternoon we will arrive at the hotel

Traditional massage before dinner, usually between 6 PM and 7 PM, is very good for stretching muscles after trekking activities

day 3

At 8 a.m. after breakfast, we will ride a rickshaw to the village, we will see the daily life of the local people
we will see the making of tempeh, tofu, and palm sugar in the home of local people, We will also meet a roof maker who uses leaves and learn directly from him.

The cooking class is held in the village at our partner’s house; they will provide secret spices for traditional dishes and lunch made from our own cooking
At 4 PM we will return to the hotel

day 4

The tour ends drop-off to Medan or Kualanamu airport. Our driver can take you from the morning until maximum of 2 PM

The rainy season usually starts from September to December,  From January to mid-August, the weather will be sunnier.

Considering the rainy season and the peak tourist arrivals, the best time is from January to March, with friendly weather and avoiding the hustle and bustle of visitors.

We do not guarantee a 100 percent encounter with orangutans in the wild; our experienced guides say 95 percent.

We encountered several types of monkeys, gibbons, peacocks, and hornbills
