We will take you to see the daily life of the locals in the village, seeing local people making  tempe fermented from soybeans, palm sugar, to weaving roofs from leaves.

We will pick up the participants at the hotel around Bukit Lawang. By 8 AM, all participants will be at the starting point and then ride a pedicab to the village
Along the way, we will pass by rice fields, and our local guide will explain the process from planting to harvesting
We will also see firsthand the process of making tofu and tempeh from fermented soybeans in the homes of local residents, The process of making palm sugar is also interesting to see, you will try weaving rumbia leaves, taught directly by the local people, on this tour you can interact directly with local people through our guide

Cooking classes are also held in the village, where you will learn the secret spices of traditional dishes, Please enjoy the lunch that you cooked yourselves

The tour ends at 3 or 4 PM and back to hotel.

There are several types of venomous snakes such as cobras and type of viper, also scorpions, or centipedes, don’t be nervous !! Our local guides are very knowledgeable about the jungle; they are experienced.

The rainy season usually starts from September to December,  From January to mid-August, the weather will be sunnier.

Considering the rainy season and the peak tourist arrivals, the best time is from January to March, with friendly weather and avoiding the hustle and bustle of visitors.

We do not guarantee a 100 percent encounter with orangutans in the wild; our experienced guides say 95 percent.

We encountered several types of monkeys, gibbons, peacocks, and hornbills
